Help stopping my grandparents laptop freezing 10 POINT TO HAVE THEM STOP RINGING ME!?
Right, they've had a run of bad luck with laptops so they got a new HP about over a year ago now (an HP something G56). It was all working fine until their friends got one as well (aged 65+), which is when the problems started. They send emails to each other constantly, so when one of them got a virus it sent itself to my grandparents via email. Now, I would have noticed the time code it came through at (it was something ridiculous for a 65 year old like 2:32am) so I would have deleted it straight Read more [...]
how can I reword and shorten this?
I need to shorten and reword all this information somehow for a powerpoint, and I don't want it to be really long packed with too many words, so how could I shorten it?
The current warming trend is of particular significance because most of it is very likely human-induced and proceeding at a rate that is unprecedented in the past 1,300 years. Earth-orbiting satellites and other technological advances have enabled scientists to see the big picture, collecting many different types of information Read more [...]

2 drives in Raid 5 failed?
I work for a company where one of our clients had 2 of their drives fail in a Raid 5. Dell went out to "repair" this, and installed 2 new drives and reinstalled Windows. After they did this, out client realized that their backups were not working, and have not been working, for about 2 years. They are a veterinary office and so the data that they were supposed to be backing up was patient images and data. Turns out that they only have about 4GB of images backed up, but its from 2008. So it's Read more [...]
Is this good news for the Obama Campaign?
October 6, 2011|6:45 pm
A new census has revealed that nearly half of the U.S. population lives in a household that receives government benefits.
48.5 percent of people lived in households that were dependent on welfare in the first quarter of 2010.
The figure stood at 44.4 percent in the peak of the recession in 2008.
The increase in the number of dependents is thought to be from high unemployment, poor recession recovery and an increase in government programs.
President Obama spoke of his jobs Read more [...]
Can you fix my hard drive?
Wo-K
So I decided to copy my Windows-7 installation disk into a bootable USB flash stick using 'Win-To-Usb'.
Halfway done with the process, I realized that the program had selected my 2tb internal storage hard drive instead of my 8gb USB flash drive. Then the software posted a "This Operation Cannot Be Completed. This Drive Will Be Locked".
So, 'Win-To-Flash' changed the file system from NTFS to FAT32. I was able to manually change the file system back to NTFS, but window's property is reading Read more [...]
